Lina Tate, originally from Detroit, Michigan, is a recent graduate of George Mason University with a B.A. in Government and International Politics, with a concentration in Political Behavior & Identity Politics and a double minor in Social Justice and Chinese. During her undergrad experience, she served as a research assistant to various government professors, a staff writer for Her Campus Magazine, and social justice chair for George Mason’s NAACP chapter. Previous to interning with LRP, Lina was a summer intern for author Bruce Feiler assisting him with the process of writing his new book. Lina’s passions lie in protecting civil rights and civil liberties for marginalized communities. Outside of politics, Lina enjoys attending concerts, reading the neglected books on her bookshelf, and spending time with friends. Lina is very excited to be spending the spring term with LRP.
