For decades now, LRP has been committed to protecting current and future generations from damage to our climate. We firmly believe we need to stop using dirty energy sources like oil and coal and instead make a just transition to clean, renewable sources of energy. We believe we all have a responsibility – individuals, corporations, and government – to protect the air we breathe and water we drink, and to ensure the next generation inherits a livable planet. However, too often, however, that responsibility is pushed down to the individual level, resulting in insufficient solutions. We have worked to increase investment in clean energy, to hold polluters accountable, and to help advocates develop compelling arguments to inspire people to take action on climate change.
