Battleground 2004
Washington, D.C.- The GW-Battleground 2004 poll shows an intensely polarized electorate, even 7 and 1/2 months out from the election. On the soft re-elect question, 48% of voters feel George W. Bush deserves re-election and 49% feel it is time for a new person to be elected to the White House. There has not been much movement in George W. Bush’s job approval since last September’s Battleground Poll, with half of voters approving of the job he is doing (down 4 points), and 45% disapproving (up 4 points). More than six-in-ten voters (64%) voters approve of him personally (down 3 points).
