Jeff Klinger
Associate Analyst

Jeff Klinger joined Lake Research Partners in 2008 after a very successful stint serving as an intern for the firm. Since then, Jeff has held positions as Field Coordinator, Field Director and is now working as an Analyst, focusing on issues including labor unions, electoral reform and public pensions. In his political work, Jeff focuses on races in Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and Georgia.

Originally from the great state of Michigan, Jeff graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Political Science. After running a congressional campaign in 2006, he moved to Washington, D.C. to further his education. He graduated from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management in 2008. As a member of a family of teachers, Jeff has seen firsthand the dynamic impact great teachers can have on students and understands the extraordinary importance of the strong unions that represent them. Working at Lake Research Partners with Celinda Lake and David Mermin, gives Jeff an opportunity to work on behalf of the unions he appreciates so much.

Brittany Stalsburg
Associate Analyst

Dr. Brittany Stalsburg is an Associate Analyst at Lake Research Partners (LRP) and is based in Washington, D.C.

Brittany conducts innovative quantitative and qualitative opinion research on a wide range of topics including immigration, race relations, political reform, and political participation. In her political work, Brittany has managed polling for candidates in California, Georgia, and South Carolina, and has particular expertise in gender dynamics of campaigns. Brittany brings to LRP five years of experience studying a wide range of voting behavior and is a trained methodologist of both quantitative and qualitative methods, including advanced statistics and elite interviewing. Her work has been published in several academic journals and books and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the New York American Association of Public Opinion Research (NYAAPOR) best paper award.

Brittany grew up in shoreline Connecticut and holds a BA from Providence College and a PhD in political science from Rutgers University.

   



Mark Ayoub
Associate Analyst

Mark Ayoub joined Lake Research Partners in 2012. As an Associate Analyst in the firm's Berkeley office.

He previously worked in market research for two years at Javelin Strategy & Research, where he contributed data analysis to the nation's preeminent identity theft report. Prior to Javelin, he worked at EMC Research, where he assisted in numerous victories of EMC clients in the 2008 election. Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts in Politics with a minor in Religion from Hendrix College. Mark has held internships with the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation, the National Committee for an Effective Congress (NCEC), the late US Senator Ted Kennedy, and former Human Rights Campaign president Cheryl Jacques when she served as a state senator in Massachusetts.

Outside of his work in politics and survey research, Mark has also at one point been a pastry chef at a popular San Francisco restaurant, a professional keyboardist, a freelance sportswriter for a major Boston newspaper, and an NCAA varsity swimmer.  Mark is a native of the Boston area who currently lives in San Francisco, where he enjoys convertible rides up and down Highway 1, hiking, dancing, playing music, and baking in his free time.
