Cate Gormley
Associate Analyst
Cate Gormley joined Lake Research Partners in 2006. Cate works with foundations, non-profits, and issue advocacy organizations. She has conducted research on a range of progressive issues including education, reproductive health, the environment, women’s issues, children’s health, poverty, and more. She is an experienced focus group moderator.
A native of Houston, Cate graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002 with a B.A. in English. Before joining LRP, Cate was involved with several campaigns in Austin. During the 2004 election cycle, Cate worked as a community organizer for the Democratic National Committee and MoveOn Political Action Committee. Following the election, she was the Public Relations Coordinator for the National Foundation for Women Legislators in Washington, DC. During football season, even in election years, Cate makes time to watch the Longhorns play on Saturdays.

Shilpa Grover
Associate Analyst
Shilpa Grover joined Lake Research Partners in 2009 in the Berkeley, California office. She works with progressive foundations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations on a range of issues, primarily focusing on health reform, immigration, and small businesses. She also works to help elect Democrats at all level, and has conducted extensive research for political campaigns, including in California.
Prior to joining LRP, she worked at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research; ImpactRX, a pharmaceutical market research firm; Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign in Iowa; EMILY’s List; and the Victorian Parliament in Australia. She grew up in Melbourne, Australia and Princeton Junction, New Jersey and graduated from the George Washington University with a B.A. in political communication

Kristin Pondel
Associate Analyst
Kristin Pondel joined Lake Research Partners in 2010. Kristin works primarily on political campaigns to help elect Democratic candidates across the country and at all levels, and has also done work analyzing the national political lay of the land, the economy, and the women's vote. Before joining LRP, Kristin conducted research on gender-based targeting methods and interned at EMILY's List.
Kristin grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and holds a B.A. in political science and international studies from Miami University (OH).

Dom Bartkus
Associate Analyst
Dom Bartkus joined Lake Research Partners in 2011. At LRP, Dom works with Democratic candidates across the country, non-profits, and issue advocacy organizations. Dom has worked on presidential, parliamentary, and municipal races in Europe and South America, and has an extensive research experience in the U.S. housing industry. He also has a wide-range experience with quantitative research techniques, such as cluster analysis and perceptual mapping.
Dom came to LRP from Penn Schoen Berland, where he worked with a number of Fortune 500 clients, non-profit organizations, and political campaigns.
Originally from Lithuania, Dom speaks Lithuanian and Russian. He holds a B.S. in Foreign Service and a Certificate in Russian and Eastern European Studies from Georgetown University.

Naomi Mulligan Kolb
Associate Analyst
Naomi Mulligan Kolb joined Lake Research Partners in 2008 after a very successful stint as an intern for the firm. She has served as Logistics Assistant to Celinda Lake and in the Field Department, managing many of LRP’s focus group projects. Today, Naomi works with a variety of non-profit, state and advocacy organizations on several policy issues. The focus of much of her work is on health care related issues, specifically around the uninsured and enrollment in public health programs. Her other areas of important work include poverty, education and the environment.
A native of California’s Bay Area, Naomi made her way to Washington, DC via UCLA’s Center for American Politics and Public Policy Program. In 2008, she received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Jeff Klinger
Associate Analyst
Jeff Klinger joined Lake Research Partners in 2008 after a very successful stint serving as an intern for the firm. Since then, Jeff has held positions as Field Coordinator, Field Director and is now working as an Analyst, focusing on issues including labor unions, electoral reform and public pensions. In his political work, Jeff focuses on races in Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and Georgia.
Originally from the great state of Michigan, Jeff graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Political Science. After running a congressional campaign in 2006, he moved to Washington, D.C. to further his education. He graduated from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management in 2008. As a member of a family of teachers, Jeff has seen firsthand the dynamic impact great teachers can have on students and understands the extraordinary importance of the strong unions that represent them. Working at Lake Research Partners with Celinda Lake and David Mermin, gives Jeff an opportunity to work on behalf of the unions he appreciates so much.
