Lake Research Partners President Celinda Lake and partners Bob Meadow and Joshua Ulibarri are thrilled to congratulate several of our winning candidates thus far in 2011.
Last week, Las Vegas Mayor-Elect Carolyn Goodman defeated her opponent, Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, with a healthy 60.5% of the vote to Giunchigliani’s 39.5%. Goodman ran on her vision of growing the Las Vegas economy by attracting new businesses that create jobs. Voters wanted someone who could get things done in Las Vegas, and in Goodman, they got the right candidate for the job. We would also like to recognize the rest of the Goodman campaign team: campaign manager Bradley Mayer, media consultants Tom Letizia and Ken Rubino of Letizia Mass Media, and mail consultant Erica Walters of Terris, Barnes & Walters.
Last month, Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler won his first re-election campaign. The Lake Research team is very proud to have worked with Mayor Beutler since his first race for mayor in 2007. Beutler won the election with nearly 65% of the vote. Beutler ran on the strong record he built during his first term. Voters were happy with the way he’d been leading the city and voted to keep him on to continue to grow the city’s economy and keep Lincoln a great place to raise a family. We would also like to take a moment to congratulate the team that helped secure that victory with us: campaign manager Matt Prokop and communications consultant Matt MacWilliams of MacWilliams Sanders Communications.
LRP conducted independent expenditure polling in conservative congressional district NY-26. We congratulate Democrat Kathy Hochul who scored a stunning upset win in the May 24th election, signifying a potentially significant electoral shift.
Democrat Jake Zimmerman won the April 5th election for St. Louis County Assessor with nearly 64% of the vote. Zimmerman won on a strong message of bringing fairness and accountability to an office that is now an elected position for the first time in 40 years. LRP also congratulates his campaign team members and consultants, including campaign manager Michael Halle, general consultant Jim Ross, direct mail consultant Jon Anderson from Mad Dog Mail, media consultant Julian Mulvey of Devine Mulvey, and Julie Copeland of Copeland Research.
LRP would also like to congratulate Stephanie Singer on her win last month in the May 17th Democratic primary for Philadelphia City Commissioner. Singer not only won the most votes in the seven-candidate field (with 20%), but she also helped oust a nine-term incumbent. Singer's campaign effort was led by campaign manager Shannon Marietta, with Dean Levitan and Joel Rivlin of The Pivot Group providing the mail, and Ian Mandel of New Partners conducting the background and opposition research. Mark Mehringer, who joined LRP in March, led the polling work for both the Zimmerman and Singer victories.
Congratulations! We are proud to have worked with these candidates and look forward to many more wins this summer and fall!
