For over 25 years, Bob Meadow has been one of the top Democratic pollsters in the country. Bob joined Lake Research Partners in 2005, following LRP’s acquisition of Decision Research, the firm Bob founded. Bob has worked for dozens of current and former members of Congress, statewide officials, state legislators, mayors and city council members, and is one of the nation’s foremost experts on ballot measure and initiative campaigns. He has been the lead consultant for legislative caucuses in New Hampshire, Ohio, Washington, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, and Oklahoma.

In addition to his work with political candidates, Bob specializes in environmental issues, education, civil rights, transportation, land use, infrastructure, public financing and animal welfare issues. At LRP, Bob heads up the Government Agencies Working Group, conducting research for cities, school districts and public agencies. Bob brings to LRP extensive campaign experience, as well as formal academic research training. He was a partner in a full-service political consulting firm, with responsibilities for campaign strategy and management, media production and survey research.

Before becoming a political consultant, Bob was a noted academic. He received his Ph.D. in political science as well as his bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Southern California, and the founding Director of the Kentucky Poll and the University of Kentucky Survey Research Center. Bob has authored four books and dozens of articles on public opinion, media and politics.

Bob reads and speaks passable Spanish and French, and has a reading knowledge of Portuguese. He is based in Los Angeles, his second favorite city in which to live after Buenos Aires.
